Ashland Independent Film Festival Report
Ashland TV was a proud presenting sponsor of the Ashland
Independent Film Festival. The festival was
a huge success this year and we look forward continue to support independent
film on Ashland TV. You can see all of the locally produced award winning films
playing through out the month on Channel 20, exclusively on Ashland TV.
If you missed one of the best films at the festival, “Young@Heart�,
you have a chance to see it as it is coming back to the Varsity.
| The
extraordinary 2008 AIFF documentary Young@Heart returns to the
Varsity Theatre with two screenings to benefit the festival Friday, May 16 at
6:00 and 8:30 p.m. A chorus of senior citizens ranging in age from 72 to 93
sing songs by Talking Heads, The Clash, Coldplay, and others. But the lyrics
take on new meaning and poignancy when sung by those with a lifetime of love
and loss, who may be nearing the end of their journey. Young@Heart is
a funny and unexpectedly moving testament to friendship, creative inspiration,
and reaching beyond expectations. |
